Kelly and Josh wanted to keep their wedding a surprise and invited guests to a naming ceremony for their gorgeous daughter, Chelsea Rose. But as the preparations evolved and grew more elaborate the secret became unravelled it was announced on facebook on the morning of their wedding day that their nuptials would take place that afternoon at 3.30pm. The two ceremonies flowed lovingly into one another, under the direction of celebrant Joshua Withers. The setting was the bandstand gazebo at Dreverson Park, The Esplanade at Wynnum. Guests enjoyed an Italian banquet style reception at Casa di Louie. Just after the conclusion of the ceremony a wild storm lashed the Bay. We managed to get a group photo in before the heavens opened , and a group huddle ensued in the gazebo where pink cupcakes were consumed in honour of Chelsea’s naming day. The rain eventually eased off but not so the wind which whipped up white caps on the normally still water . Even the umbrellas I provided were no match against the verocious wind and we soon ditched the plastic clad twisted wrecks of metal spokes and the bride and groom braved the elements to capture some spectacular stormy photos on the waterfront before we headed back to Wynnum for family and bridal party photographs in a more sheltered part of town. The bridal party were a fun loving crowd and the couple’s 2 children, Blaine and Chelsea looked adorable, don’t you agree?
